| How To Get Here |
 |
Ballinamore
is located in the heart of Leitrim's magical lake and drumlin landscape,
150 km north west of Dublin and is strategically placed, close to
the major road and rail networks. Ballinamore sits advantageously
between the major towns of the region giving unrivalled choice of
access to growing centres of employment.
Road access is excellent. Ballinamore has benefited from huge investment
in the road infrastructure in recent years. A rail link at Dromod,
15 minutes away offers a fast and efficient connection to the national
rail network. The town is within a few minutes of the Erne Bus Link
which provides bus access 5 times a day to and from Dublin. There
are daily buses to Longford and Enniskillen with further links from
there all over Ireland.
From Dublin: Take the N4 (Sligo road) out of Dublin, past Mullingar
and Longford, until you come to Dromod. Turn right on to the R202
here (Ballinamore signposted) and follow it straight through Mohill
to Ballinamore. On your way in to Ballinamore you have to cross a
bridge, you turn left immediately after bridge, the canal is on your
left, fire station etc on your right, so straight ahead and it is
the third building (two bungalows and the old mill house)on your right,
just above canal basin.
From Enniskillen: Leave Enniskillen on the Sligo road (A4).
About 1.5km (1 mile) out, turn left on to the A32 (Ballinamore signposted).
The A32 becomes the N87 at Swanlinbar (Ballinamore signposted). Turn
right on to the R202 where Ballinamore is again signed. At the end
of Main Street (bottom of town) in Ballinamore, turn right at Willies
Fruit Shop (just before the bridge) canal on the left continue past
fire station etc on right and it is the third house on the right (stone
house past 2 bungalows). |
